The faculty mourns the passing of Professor Dr. Dr. h.c. Günter Heinritz, who died on January 16, 2026 at the age of 85.
We mourn the passing of Professor Dr. Dr. h.c. Günter Heinritz, born August 12, 1940, died January 16, 2026.
Professor Dr. Dr. h.c. Günter Heinritz was an outstanding and internationally recognized teacher and researcher in the field of economic and social geography. We will remember him as a highly esteemed colleague. Our deepest sympathy goes to his family.
